My Thoughts On The Scarlet Pimpernel

Today I would like to talk about the Scarlet Pimpernel. I am so glad the Scarlet Pimpernel is Sir Percy, or I might not be in the League of The Scarlet Pimpernel. I was at a ball one day when I met Sir Percy and Lord Tony. Marguerite was far away, and we talked for a good hour and a half. As soon as I got home, I noticed there was a letter in my pocket with a red flower on it (which I later figured out was the Scarlet Pimpernel.) I read it and it said:

If you want to save the French Nobles, meet me at the back of the Fisherman's Rest at 2:00 a.m. next morning.

Signed
The Scarlet Pimpenel

So I came (I brought a sword just in case) cautiously where I saw Lord Tony and Sir Percy. Sir Percy told Lord Tony and me that he is the Scarlet Pimpernel. Then he told Lord Tony to meet Sir Percy and me at the same spot at 10:00 September 30th. After that, he told me to meet him there at the same time and same place on the 26th, and said we will start the trip to save my first nobles. That was a good 10 trips ago.

Sir Percy really is a smart man; he might even be the smartest man in the world. The one thing I admire the most about Sir Percy is the fact that he has not completely gone insane. You might, "Why would he go insane when he has all that money?" Well, here is why: he is a really smart man who has to act like he is dumb all his life. He has the stress of someone figuring out he is the Scarlet Pimpernel. He has marriage problems, and there is a chance that he will not save the French Nobles. one thing I do not understand whe he does though is the fact that he goes around the street yelling, "Lud save the king" or "Lud save the queen". When he does it, I always think we will get caught which seems to have never happened. Sir Percy has a lot of money and connections, so he bribes and blackmails (he never does what he says he is going to do when he blackmails) people a lot to get the nobles saved. I still wish I was the Scarlet Pimpernel, though, then there would be a higher chance that Suzanne would fall in love with me.

  1. I will agree that Sir Percy can be hero to YOU! To us he's nothing but a traitor, and deserves to go to the guillotine. He is nothing, but a mere fool. Why would he mess with our new "government"?! It's not like we would come over to England and take control. If we could catch him... Tell him to leave us alone!!!!

  2. Oh that is nothing but a lie, but of course you would say it little Chauvelin. If I am such a fool then how did I fool you twice. A true fool wouldn't ever be able to come up with the tricks I've pulled off. I will mess with your goverment if I think it's wrong in EVERY POSSIBLE WAY. I will never get how you think.

  3. Sir Percy... the smartest man in the world? Ya, sure. I am the smartest man in the world. I have outsmarted him about, well, I dont know how many times... but, well, never mind. I have outsmarted him enough. He is a dimwit and I promise I will catch him someday!
